Crinkly Owl Toy

My daughter loves things that make a noise especially that crinkly noise that you find in soft toys. I found this fab make http://www.craftstylish.com/item/45013/how-to-make-a-felt-baby-toy-with-a-crinkly-crackly-recycled-surprise which shows you how to make a cute owl using felt and recycling all those things your baby loves to crinkle and grab hold of. Also love this owl from http://bugsandfishes.blogspot.com/2011/08/how-to-felt-owl.html will probably make an owl combining the two designs as I love elements from both.

Butterfly Mobile

This gorgeous Butterfly mobile looks so simple yet effective. This will be my next make for Mia. Here is where you will find a lovely tutorial on how to make one. And the best bit is anyone can make it. http://bugsandfishes.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-butterfly-mobile.html

Bit of a whimsy doll

I have started to make my daughters Christmas present and am so excited, I just hope that I can make it half as good as this lovely lady. The pattern was purchased from http://www.bitofwhimsydolls.com/ and if the doll goes well I shall be making lots of clothes and accessories for it, so shall be purchasing lots of patterns. Here is my doll so far, now for the tricky bit as I have to start sewing all the bits together. The pretty fabric next to the doll I am going to use to make her dress from. Wish me luck and lets hope the sewing machine behaves itself

A card for my lovely mum, thought I would share it as I love the image. Also made her a keepsake photo book. Hope you like the new blog background I fancied a change with something bright and spring like.

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

I made this card for my sisters birthday and it fits perfectly for this challenge, which was to use brown as the base colour then use either pink or blue as it was for my sister I had to choose pink and the image looks just like her. The papers are from my stash box and the image is from the digistamp boutique - they have fab images I love so many of them.

One of my favourite things

After another day crafting with Amanda this altered notebook was something she showed me how to make. I loved making it, even though it was a bit of a challenge. I can't remember where the papers are from but the colours are inspiring and these papers have become my favourite to use. I am entering this into the creative card crew challenge as its all of my favourite things all in one.

My creations after the fab crafting day hosted by Stephanie

I had a great day with Amanda on Saturday crafting, as you can see we made lots. Stephanie (Stamping and Sharing) hosted a fantastic day and I think she is one of the kindest and most generous person I have ever met, so thank you for a fab day and the goodies. I can't wait to make some more of these boxes they are ideal for Christmas treats.

Easel Christmas cards

Am addicted to making these cards, so two more for the Christmas collection. I love these images and will be using them loads. The papers are forever friends and everything else is from my stash box. For a tutorial on making the easel cards head over to Dewdrop craftz.

Summer of love - entry for the dewdropcraftz challenge and digital Tuesday challenge

The challenge was to do something bright and colourful, its been nice to do something not Christmasy and to use all my bright colours. I was inspired by the design teams creations and decided to follow Amanda's fab tutorial on making an easel card, I now love making them! I will be sending the card to Stephanie (Stamping and Sharing) to thank her for her kindness and generosity as she organised the best day yesterday. The image is from DewDrop Craftz and ribbon, jewels and paper are all from my stash box.

Entry for Sketch Saturday # 72

Rather than planning like I should have been I woke up and wanted to make something different. I really wanted to use stitching so for some of it I have used a needle and thread and for some a pen.

Friday Sketchers # 71

After feeling poorly all day and giving up with planning I thought I would chill and make some cards. I am loving making Christmas cards so have made this one following the sketch below from Friday Sketchers. I love the image so thought I would do a photo of that too.

Entry for sketch Saturday

I made this on Saturday for my boyfriends birthday on Tuesday and am going to try and enter it onto Sketch Saturday, once I can figure out how to do it as it's the first time I have ever done it or followed a sketch. This is the sketch I followed and enjoyed the challenge. Just hope he likes the card.

Christmas already

Two more Christmas cards using my new Smirk decoupage. I have also posted them on Trimcraft.
